"Everything turned into a project and I needed to reach out to support. With Conzent I didn't."

Handles digital for a group with 11 sites

"First site took me twenty minutes. The other ten were copy-paste."

Woman with curly hair smiling in a kitchen, wearing a green t-shirt.

Marie

Handles content for a site with a few hundred thousand visitors a month

"Every platform we tried priced on traffic, so the better we did, the more it cost. Our traffic roughly doubled this year and the Conzent bill didn't move."

Tomas

Looks after e-commerce

"I looked at five tools and never finished setting up a single one. With Conzent I pasted one line in and it was live before I'd finished my coffee. I'm not a technical person — that's the bit I'd want someone to hear."

You have a banner. You don't know if it counts.

Most banners went up once, by someone who has since moved on, and nobody's checked them since.

  • Guessing whether your current banner would hold up if a client or auditor asked
  • Waiting on a developer who has more urgent tickets than your cookie banner
  • Watching GA4 numbers drop after a consent change with no idea why
  • Owning the compliance risk with no way to verify it yourself

What changes the day you switch

Stop guessing whether your banner counts

Conzent carries IAB TCF v2.4 certification and CMP ID 446. When someone asks for proof, you hand them a number instead of a screenshot.

Keep your ad and analytics data accurate

Consent Mode v2 is configured correctly from the start, with the signal set before your tags run. Your Google Ads and GA4 numbers keep working the way you expect.

Go live without opening a ticket

One script tag and a guided setup. If you can add a tracking code, you can do this yourself, this afternoon.

Pay less as you grow, not more

Pricing is per site, and the rate drops as you add sites. Launching the next domain stops being a budget conversation.

Three steps. That's it.

1. Create my free account

No credit card conversation, no sales call. Sign up and you're in.

2. Add the banner

One script tag, or a native plugin for WordPress, Wix, Joomla, Drupal, TYPO3 or Umbraco.

3. It's live, certified

Audited against IAB TCF v2.4 and Google-CMP-approved from the first pageview.

Same website. Different Monday.

Before

A banner nobody's checked since it went up. No certification number if someone asks. GA4 numbers you're not fully sure you trust. A bill that climbs with every new site.

After

A banner audited against IAB TCF v2.4, CMP ID 446. Consent Mode v2 configured the way Google documents it. A dashboard that shows what consent is doing to your numbers. A per-site price that drops as you add more.

Why Conzent instead of Cookiebot

Cookiebot's the tool we get compared to most. Here's the honest version.

Conzent Cookiebot
Pricing model Per site, drops as you add more Per domain, scales with subpage count
IAB TCF certification TCF v2.4 (2.3 + 2.2), every plan TCF supported, exact version not published
Self-hosted option ×
EU data residency Germany, or self-host and it never leaves your server Not publicly confirmed
Native CMS integrations 6 — WordPress, Wix, Joomla, Drupal, TYPO3, Umbraco Script-tag deployment, no published plugin count

Everything you need, nothing you don't

No 40-tab settings panel. No "book a demo to see pricing." Just a banner that works.

Keeps your ad revenue safe

Google Consent Mode v2 is built in from day one, paired with a revenue-impact dashboard that shows exactly what each consent choice is costing you, or earning you, in real time.

Actually certified, not just good-looking

Official Google CMP Partner, audited against IAB TCF v2.4 (CMP #446). When a compliance review comes, you point to the certificate instead of crossing your fingers.

Live in minutes, not weeks

Native plugins for WordPress, Wix, Joomla, Drupal, TYPO3 and Umbraco, or one script tag for literally anything else. No dev sprint, no ticket in the backlog.

Who this isn't for

Three situations where we're the wrong answer. Worth knowing before you spend an afternoon on it.

Conzent is certified software for collecting and signalling consent. It isn't legal advice, and no tool makes a business compliant on its own. If you need someone to tell you what the law requires, you need a lawyer, not a banner.

You just want something that looks present

If the goal is a banner that exists so nobody asks questions, there are cheaper options. Certification is most of what you're paying for here.

You want someone else to manage it end-to-end

Conzent is software you set up yourself, not a managed compliance service. You still need at least enough access to add a script tag or plugin.

Quick questions

Is it really free to start?

Yes. The cloud plan is free to start, and paid tiers only kick in as you add more sites. You can also self-host Conzent for free, forever, it's Apache 2.0 licensed.

Will it slow down my site?

No. Sub-50ms script load, zero layout shift, async by default. Your Lighthouse score won't notice it's there.

Will it mess up my Google Ads and GA4 data?

That's the failure mode Conzent is built around. Consent Mode v2 is configured correctly, and the signal is set before your tags run, so Google receives a state instead of silence.

How is this different from Cookiebot?

Same certification class, so you're not trading compliance for price. The core is open source under Apache 2.0, so you can inspect it or self-host it for free. And the per-site rate falls as you add sites instead of rising with subpage count.

What if I want to leave later?

Cancel and keep going. The open source version is on GitHub under Apache 2.0, so your setup doesn't die with the subscription, you can move it onto your own servers and register your own IAB CMP ID.

Who's behind this

Conzent was built by Lennart Øster, a developer with over 30 years building for the web. After running large-scale affiliate and e-commerce sites, he watched GDPR turn a basic legal requirement into an enterprise SaaS paywall in 2018. In 2022 he started building Conzent to fix that, and in 2026 open-sourced its core under Apache 2.0, funding the managed cloud through sponsorships instead of subscriptions alone.
