Gravito, built for publishers and priced for them
Gravito is a Finland-based CMP with a real position in the Nordic market, and for a publisher monetising inventory across Europe and the US it is a strong product. It supports IAB TCF 2.3 and the IAB's Global Privacy Platform 1.1 including Global Privacy Control signals for US audiences, documents Google Consent Mode v2 setup, deploys via script or Google Tag Manager, and takes a privacy-first line in its own analytics. Its pricing page is also more transparent than most of the enterprise field — the base fees and traffic bands are published, and the Standard plan's monthly cost is capped at €1,500, which is a genuinely buyer-friendly thing to publish.
The question is whether you are the customer it is priced for. Standard begins at €150 a month plus €150 per million sessions. Publisher is €250 a month plus €60 per million sessions for the first 10 million. Global Publisher is €500 a month plus €50 per million. On top of that, the pricing page states that all plans require a one-time implementation fee scoped per engagement — so the amount is not published and the first year's true cost is not something you can calculate on your own. Gravito's own worked example comes to €900 a month, or €10,800 a year, before that implementation charge. If you run a large publishing operation, that is a fair price for what you get. If you run a business website and just need a consent banner, it is a floor you cannot get under.

Switching from Gravito? Here's what to expect
Moving CMPs follows the same shape whichever vendor you leave: install the new script alongside the old one for a short test window, run a fresh scan to rebuild your cookie categories, configure and preview the banner, then switch the live script and remove the old one. Two Gravito-specific notes. If you are running TCF or GPP strings for ad partners, tell those partners the date of the change so nobody is debugging a consent string in the dark. And because implementation was a paid engagement, some of your configuration may live in settings a consultant set up rather than in documentation you hold — export or screenshot your vendor list and category setup before the account closes. Historical consent records stay with the vendor that collected them and don't transfer, which is normal for any CMP migration, so plan to start your consent log fresh.
Why teams switch from Gravito to Conzent
No floor to clear
Conzent starts at a few euros per site per month, with no base licence fee, no session bands and nothing to pay before you begin. A small site pays a small-site price, and the price falls as you add sites.
Set it up yourself, today
There is no paid implementation engagement to schedule. You register, add your site, configure the banner and go live — and TCF v2.4 and Consent Mode v2 are already on the plan rather than sitting in a higher one.
An exit that doesn't cost anything
Conzent's core is open source under Apache 2.0. If the commercial relationship ever stops working for you, you can run the same platform on your own server for free instead of starting a vendor search.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Gravito cost?
Standard is €150 a month plus €150 per million sessions, capped at €1,500 a month. Publisher is €250 a month plus €60 per million sessions for the first 10 million, then €40 per million. Global Publisher is €500 a month plus €50 per million. Every plan also carries a one-time implementation fee that is scoped per engagement and not published.
Is Gravito a good choice for Nordic publishers?
For a publisher, quite possibly yes. It is Finland-based, supports TCF 2.3 and GPP 1.1 with GPC for US traffic, and publishes its traffic bands and a monthly cap on the Standard plan. The question is scale — the pricing is built around millions of sessions, so a business website with ordinary traffic pays publisher rates for a banner.
Can I self-host Gravito?
No self-hosted or open-source edition is published. Conzent's core is Apache 2.0, runs as an OCI image with a one-line installer, and self-hosted data never leaves your own server.
What's the best alternative to Gravito?
If you need GPP and US signalling at publisher scale, compare Gravito against other publisher-focused CMPs rather than assuming a cheaper tool covers it. If what you need is a consent banner across EU sites without a base licence or a setup engagement, Conzent is priced per site, includes TCF v2.4 and Consent Mode v2 on every plan, and can be self-hosted at no cost.
