The mechanics are ordinary: install the new script alongside the plugin for a short test window, re-scan to rebuild your cookie categories, configure and preview the banner, then cut the live script over and deactivate the plugin. Two things specific to this move. Because the public documentation does not say where consent records are held, ask before you cancel rather than after — if any of it sits on vendor infrastructure, the export window is theirs, not yours.
